  • What's next on the must-have list?

If you are going to Focus on Imaging, will you be looking for a bargain? If so, what do you have your eye on?

Even if you aren't - what's the next bit of photo kit you are likely to be investing in?

I'm on the look out for a bag that is reasonably compact but will hold a 12 inch screen laptop as well as a couple of lenses and a camera body.

    How about you?

It's no secret I have some monies set aside for the replacement Olympus E-3.
I am however not waiting long as I need to upgrade.

I suppose if I went to the show this weekend I would be in the market for various papers to try out, as I have only used Epson gloss and semi gloss so far.

There are lenses of course, but the treasurer has more sense than I.

I'm not looking for the best as I am not a pro like yourself.
Although the E-3 is a good camera it is not in the class of those you mention above. I am hopeful its replacement is a little nearer to what Olympus called the E-3 on launch semi pro.
I note a recent review of the EOS-1D Mark IV gave it a Gold Award and a score of 89% - a stunning piece of equipment.

A replacement for my ageing C8080WZ as a "walkaboutalldaywithit". Compact, lightweight, simple (for that unexpected grab shot) and I'd love for it to take AA batteries.

              The 14-35 f2 looks interesting.

                Which do I choose first?

                A nifty 50?

or the 11-16mm I've had my eye on?

Definitely a cable or infra red release

                The list is too long....

Kubota did ask me if we would review some of their products, but I looked at their prices and wondered if any of our readers could afford them!

Mine must have, is still an iMac, getting there, almost saved the money.

I have read and heard some very good reports about Apples refurbished computers giving some decent savings. They have a full one year warranty plus the optional Apple care for three years just like the brand new ones.

I keep checking for the model I want, you have to be quick or they can be missed. Twice now I have got up in the night at about 5:30 to go to the little room, and while I was up checked the site, seen iMac machines (not the model I want) by 8:30 they were gone, and that is it until new listings the following very early morning. Macbooks seem easier to buy refurbished.

I will keep plugging away, frustrating as they have the model I want refurbished on the US site but don't ship these to the UK.

Sorry, but any review would be heavily biased by criticism of the cost of these software tools. I can't see how they can justify the pricing. If others can produce excellent tools for a fraction of the cost of Kubota tools, I'd rather spend my time reviewing those.

I truly don't need one and the prices are ridiculous but more and more I want to buy a Leica Summicrom 35mm. OK, it's my standard lens length but I have two 35's already and the improvement will be marginal but the sheer engineering quality and general feel can't be beaten.

There's also the minor point that I have never yet lost money on buying a Leica lens (or camera) ignoring inflation.
