Get to a user's gallery more easily

A handy modification to the forum has been made so you can get to the gallery of a user much more easily, via one of their posts.

Click on the large user name in a forum post and a drop down menu appears with several links. Try it yourself now - click on 'Ian' to the top left of this message

The bottom link takes you straight to the gallery of that user, avoiding having to wade through several pages to find their forum.

There is more to come - we're just bug-fixing a pop-up utility that will work like additional ('More') smilies utility, but instead of being able to insert additional smilies into your forum message, you will be able to insert images from your gallery

Another bit of work underway is to insert your latest gallery image thumnbnails in your forum profile page.

I must admit this site just seems to get better by the day. You must be well pleased with it Ian. I guess most of us do not really know how much hard work you and the others put in but it does look to be paying off. I also see you have a load of new members which must be a good thing. Know I am not posting many photos of late but when I have something I will post it up. I do look in every day most of the time 2 or 3 times a day.

Haha! The forum development is stealing time from writing articles, tsk (slapped wrists!).

But the vBulletin forum platform we're based on now has a rich variety of add-ons that I'm only just beginning to explore.

But we do need a lot more users - 250 or so registered users is, in fact, very small and it only takes a few to become distracted or bored with the forum and activity will crash.

What I'm very impressed with is the quantity, quality and growth in picture uploads to the gallery. Much of the development work on the forum is to integrate the forum and the gallery much more closely.
