    Forum bug hopefully fixed!

    I know that a number of forum members have had problems logging into the forum and at last we think we have identified the problem and fixed it.

    If you have experienced problems logging in to the forum I hope you will try once again. If you still find an error generated, please let me know with details.

    Frustratingly, the problem only appeared to affect a very small number people and we were unable to replicate the problem ourselves.

    Thanks for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Have now ticked the remember me box and I'm now logged in automatically. Fantastic. Well done that man.

      As one of the folks who reported it, Thanks Ian.
      Now seems to work fine in all my browsers, including the new version of Opera, my preferred one.

        Thanks everyone!

        Bill: it wasn't browser-specific. There was a bug in one of the forum plug-ins that we had been using. The only thing that is puzzling is why it affected some, but not others.

        I've installed the latest Opera browser - it looks very slick compared to what I remember of the previous one I tried.

            I've been unable to log on for 2 months using my user name , even thought about changing to another to see if that sorted it .
            Seems OK now (fingers crossed) maybe i can start posting again .
