  • Support for new standardised emojis

Since the latest update of the forum software you can now use emojis (graphical characters) that you may be familiar with when using your smartphone or tablet. Here are a few examples:

    👽 🤣 🥦 ❄ 🐴 🔥 🍰 🐲 and there are literally hundreds more.

Click image for larger version Name:	CaptureA.PNG Views:	1 Size:	47.7 KB ID:	153042
On the post/message editor tool bar look for the magnifying glass button.

Click image for larger version Name:	CaptureB.PNG Views:	1 Size:	359.6 KB ID:	153045
Click this and up comes a search bar showing emojis you can select.

Click image for larger version Name:	CaptureC.PNG Views:	1 Size:	189.7 KB ID:	153044
As you type in the search bar emojis related to what you are typing should appear.

You can do the same in your posts without the search bar by preceding the target keyword with a colon ':'

I have encountered a few issues using this so far 😥 - the tool bar search box misbehaved 😯 - hopefully just teething problems! 🐱

PS You can still use the old 'smilies' as before

PS the problem I noticed with the emoji pop-up misbehaving is hopefully going to be fixed in the next maintenance release and indications are that it's limited to the Firefox browser (which is my default browser).
