Odd time delay ? I noticed that Caz replied to a question that I asked 7 hrs ago. Yet on the Forum Home page. It shows this thread was last updated 12 hrs ago. A 5 hr difference. I wonder if it is a technical problem or some other explanation.

Also. I posted a thread showing two gulls in flight. Ian replied to the thread and I answered his reply. But all day on the Forum Home page under Eye of the camera, it showed No replies at all. Again, is this a technical problem ?

@ Ian. It would appear that if you reply to a thread. It will show immediately. Members and non members can see there is a recent reply.
But if you comment in a reply. It does not register at all, which is a shame really, as many comments may be overlooked.

Garry - I see now that this issue about comments not updating the latest posts counter is a known issue but nothing seems to have been done about it (in 2 years ) - I will re-highlight it but it may take some time to resolve.

This was to test a change I have just implemented that now supports standard emojis in smartphone and other keyboards! The familiar old traditional ones are not affected

Ian I have seen you post emojis in a comment before. How is that done ? As I can only post emojis in a thread or reply.

I can remember the character code, so is a colon and then a right bracket. A is a colon and a capital D, etc. The smart keyboard emojis are single special characters.

In the post editor smilie selection if you hover your mouse over each graphic you will see the name of the smilie and its character code.
