Stephen is unwell

Our top moderator and DPNow stalwart, Stephen Anstey, has been in touch to explain why he has not been very active on the forum in recent days. He's currently in a lot of discomfort with an ongoing back problem and other complications and so it's very difficult for him to participate in the forum at present. In fact he apologised to me about this - of course I told him no apology was necessary at all and I'm sure you will all join me in wishing Stephen a very speed recovery!

I do hope his quick recovery indeed. Hope he can lurk at DPNow even though he can not post any. Is it a backpain?

Yes, Stephen is looking in and yes he has back pain, among other things.

Thanks for your good wishes guys its much appreciated. I'm managing to keep up with things on the forum, but am finding it hard to motivate myself into contributing in my normal way.

I've been really interested by the posts of Yoshi and I do hope he can continue to keep us up to date with his progress. A real human interest story.

Hi Stephen -

I too am suffering with my back at the moment so I know part of the torment you are going through.
I thought I was on the way to recovery and foolishly wanted to be out and about on my feet today. Wrong - I'm back in my chair with a twinge here and there every few minutes.

Yours though, seems most uncomfortable and we both wish you better health.

GWS soon Stephen, back pain can be quite painful, I suffer from it now and again, not nice, hope it gets sorted quickly.

I'm with the others - having personal experience of back pain although not to such an extent.

Hi Stephen - I have only just seen this post as I have been building and setting up a new computer over the past few days. I was sorry to hear about you back trouble and I know how painful it can be as I suffered from back trouble many years ago. It got so bad that that I had to wear a plaster cast for a couple of weeks and some nights the pain was so bad that I used to get out of bed and hang from the banister rail in the stairwell to take the weight off my spine. Still that is no consolation to you is it so I hope you soon get over the problem and are able to return to normal duties. Regards DennisP.

Hi Stephen

I hope you are feeling better and are soon back to normal. I feel your pain sorry for the pun but I to suffered with back pain and it only slowed down when I changed jobs. I was told many years ago that I have crumbling bones at the bottom of my spine. anyway enough about me. Just get better soon and hope to see you posting soon
