  • Sunset timelapse

I set up the iPhone overlooking a valley this evening to capture the sunset. I didh't expect to see a pink sky. Here's 40 minutes in 40 seconds.

I have seen and photographed pink sky here.

Enjoyed watching this time lapse video. The clouds looked like glowing embers. Very warming.

I put together a comparison video. For some reason the drone footage stopped early. The GoPro footage is shaky. It was on a very flimsy tripod on a table that was buffeted by the wind,. Again, 40 minutes reduced to 40 seconds. Draw your own conclusions. All four cameras were set to Auto.

        That was an interesting experiment.

I think the iphone11 Promax looked better than the rest. Which surprises me to be honest.

I appreciate that the iPhone is very good. But I would have expected the GoPro to have championed here.

The iPhone was set at 4K and 24 FPM
          GoPro 4K and 30 FPM
          Drone 2.7K and 30 FPM
          Canon 1080 and 25 FPM?

I agree the iPhone did best.

Looking at those figures. They back up my thoughts that the GoPro should have been champion.

These phones will put cameras out of business

Oops. I was on Penny's PC when I responded above about the settings. I meant FPS - frames per second, not frames per minute! 🙄

Very nice to see your time-lapse video. I think it was a wonderful evening for capturing the moments. You got really lucky. It seemed like the iPhone become more advance and working better compare to others.
