    • Quite impressive programme, but I did notice two or three shudders which occurred every time I played the video, so not a playback fault with YouTube.

I noticed the same thing. Not sure what's causing it. When the weather gets better I'll get more adventurous and add several Waypoints. I suspect it will take me a long time to fully learn the program but I'm impressed with the capabilities.

    • Another foggy sunrise. This time I flew the drone over the top of the fog bank toward the sun and speeded it up 2.5 times.

      • The program Dronelink has a feature where it can be programmed to ascend to a specifiic altitude and then shoot a series of 23 photos. In theory you should be able to create a 360 panorama from that. Here's an example someone else took using the program. He used a program called AutoPano Giga (cost 200 Euros) to create this shot.

I was able to take all 23 of the shots with the Dronelink program but when I created a panorama in Photoshop Elements 9 I got this result.

        • I found a free program from Microsoft called Image Composite Editor and got this result. It was shot from 250'. When the wind dies down and the fog dissipates, I'll try it again from 400'

            • The winds dropped and I re-shot it from higher up.. THe distortion is caused by the mountains on the horizon.

                  • After shooting the 23 images I open them in MIcrosoft's Image Composite Editor and stitch them. You need to do a little clicking and dragging to center things. Then I export the result, crop it in Photoshop Elements and use the Clone Stamp to fill in the corners with sky.

Beautiful and cinema quality. The music is perfect.

                    • I had some fun making this with bumps and movement today.

I hope it looks OK and you enjoy it.

                      • Very nice! And nice precision flying in close proximity to branches etc.

I have a hard time having my drone follow a prescribed heading for a long stretch. Being off by only one or two degrees requires frequent adjustments. I wonder if using the Waypoints feature of Dronelink would take care of that issue.

I'd have to watch some tutorials before I'd actually try it. The program isn't the easiest to follow.

                        • Thanks Pat -

I overcooked the canal video above by speeding up the first part which of course as I see wasn't very helpful.

I have just uploaded another video which I hope is more calming apart from the music.

                          • I went out yesterday to film something I had in mind, unfortunately the winds being so strong I knew I would lose the Mavic Mini (drone).
Not wishing to return home with nothing I got the DSLR out and braced myself against posts etc and made a short video, thus not losing the day.
