Has the done got a Headless mode. My one which I sold some time ago had this and you don't have to worry which way the drone is facing. Moving the control left made the drone go to your left no matter whether it was going away or coming towards you.

Great question. I hadn't heard of Headless Mode before. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Sadly it's not an option on the Mini. I just have to pay attention when it's aimed at me.

Another windy day but I needed some practice. Calvin Coolidge was the 30th US President. Penny is a Docent at his homestead which is 11 miles from our house. I got some aerial footage but will come back when the trees have more vegetation.

The latest firmware update allows me to adjust the ISO and Shutter speed for video. I took the drone to 300 feet this morning and shot the sunrise for about twenty minutes. It was too cloudy to get anything good. I converted it to a 16 second timelapse but it wasn't worth saving. Here's a screenshot.

Weird. The same thing happened to me unitil I closed down the site and reopened. The Cloudfare message appeared and then I could see the image. That was using Chrome. I then tried it with Edge and got the Boxed X there too.

Also I'm getting this message a lot on both Edge and Chrome. Search result already expired, please try a new search.

Yes. I also get this a lot. It can take ages to see a thread. I'll report it to Ian. See why this happens.

At last lockdown has eased here in England so today Anne and I set off for a walk in an area we expected to have to ourselves. I took about eight minutes of film and ended up with about a quarter of it.
The weather was perfect and many folk had a similar idea to us, Walkers, cyclists, dog walkers and families.
Pleased to get behind the controls for my first real effort and hope to improve as time with the Mini and weather allows.

Good little video, Barrie. Very steady. Looking forward to seeing what you do next, now that the lockdown has eased.

Yes very good Barr1e, you seem to have a smoother way of panning. Image quality is really good for such a small drone. Let's see some more asap.

Nice! Love the stability of the Mini. Glad you're getting out to fly it. Keep them coming. I just subscribed to your YouTube Channel.

The wind is showing no sign of abating in VT. I have to keep the altitude low. This morning I experimented with panning in flight.

Panning was very smooth. We can clearly see how windy it was . Amazed at the stability of your drone in those conditions.

The last few mornings I've experimented with sunrises with mediocre results. I tried using Photoshop's PhotoMerge Exposure feature to blend several shots but even the manual controls left it underexposed and oversaturated. This morning I tried two different approaches. I recorded a video as the drone ascended from 150' to 400' and then speeded it up twice. Then I took eight different stills with different exposures from 400' and assembled them into sort of a time lapse. Here's the result.

Yesterday I went on dandelion patrol....

I went flying today but the winds in the low valley where we had chose to drive was scary so I landed with little footage.
I shall be busy tomorrow but I might find time for some flying.

Liked your videos of down under Pat and will return to see then through - you both have lead busy lives.

Particularly liked the low level flight with film of the dandelions. Your really get very good at this.

Here are a few more stills taken of local businesses and restaurants. I'm printing them in 11 x 14 and mounting them on foam back. These establishments have had a rougn time with the shutdown so I thought I'd give them a little something.
