  • MAKE an OFFER

I got this today, tried it out and my hands are to big...

So if anyone is interested in it - Make me an Offer

Please note the "triangular" composition and the subtle lighting

I normally sell all my unwanted stuff on ebay and the money goes to Kids Charity. The money from this will go to Great Ormand Street Hospital

It's a Grip Strap. It screws into the base of the camera and the strap end goes through the neck strap fixing on the top.

You adjust it to suit your hand and it holds your hand onto the side of the camera to assist in holding onto it one handed.

It works well if your hands are medium to small. I have BIG hands so it's not so good for me.

It was recomended to me but I simply can't get to grips with it

That certainly looks like the bare minimum for a strap Graham! I have large hands too, as you would see in an earlier post on this subject, almost hiding a D60. However, that particular piece of kit, bought from camdapter.com, has plenty of adjustment to go for me, and my hand is not held right up against the camera as yours must have been.
I use it all the time now, and its big advantage is that although all the controls for the right thumb and index finger are easily used, now on my D90 as well, there is no need to grasp the camera when you are not actually shooting. You can relax and let the camera hang from your hand, giving your fingers a rest.
