We partner with PriceGrabber here on DPNow and the best price I found was (admittedly quoted for a Canon mount version) was the same as you were quoted:

I am but am trying to avoid the Insurance market this year due to a heavy claim last year where I had a couple of Tablet PC's stolen (caught on film).


Reference the Canon fit Ian..... Yes, I have seen several items showing differing prices for Canon fit BIGMA lens.

Received my replacement Sigma 50-500 from my supplier (Mifsuds Photographic see here).

As always, an excellent service... Ordered 2PM yesterday and it arrived 8AM this morning.

What is good is that the serial number is after 4001001 which for me means HSM will work without any problems with my Nikon D200, previously a problem before having the lens fixed.
