  • Life on the street.

A place to show your street shots. They don't need to be especially good shots (none of mine are) just our own permanent record of life on the streets before officious jobsworths ruin the confidence of everyday amateur photographers.

Only one person from the crowd noticed me.

    Post yer pics here!

'A Cold Lunch' - eating out on a Winter's Day.

She wasn't really miserable - she was watching an ice sculptor. I think I may have a picci of him. I'll see if I can find it.

Here's he is - using a chain saw to carve Santa and his sack from a large block of ice.

A few of my favourites Pol, I enjoy street photography too.

Street musicians in Concarneau - far too good to be called buskers!

Same market - different stall, old crockery seems to be popular.

Decided to try something a bit different with this Challenge. Here are a selection of street scenes taken in Venice.

                Re: Life on the street.

Yay - these are all fabulous! If there's anything better than people watching it's grabbing shots of them going about their daily life.

Julia - I don't have a picture of the finished Santa Ice sculpture but I do have a picci of an Ice Eagle scuplture he'd done on another day. I'll upload it to the gallery and post it here when it's done.

                Watch this space.

As promised - the ice sculpture of an eagle. It was slowly melting when I got there and managed to push to the front of the crowd.

Pol, I'm surprised you didn't slap that kid for getting in your way

I was just lucky Gert didn't slap me for embarrasing him as I barged through the crowd of little blighters. He's very patient with me - usually just takes the bags, walks away and tries to look as though he isn't with me.

I liked the kid opposite who was so fascinated with the melting eagle though. At least somebody trained him not to poke his head up in front of lenses.

                              Superb pics, Josh.

I especially like the 5th one - the woman taking a puff on her ciggie in one hand and holding her umbrella in the other.
