  • Post your scenes of summer here!

To start things off, Belem Tower on the bank of the Tagus river, Lisbon, Portugal. When it was built back in the early 1500s, the tower was in the centre of the Tagus river, but over time the course of the river has moved and tower is now on the bank.

Peder, that tree looks like it's enjoyed its final summer! And it wasn't this summer...

Your picture actually looks like a winter scene (though I do believe you when you say it was taken in the summer).

Well here's a really exotic picci - writing her 'wish you were here' postcards and letters on Bexhill seafront during the recent heatwave. Yep, the sun actually shone and it was blistering hot that particular day!

Sports day at my daughters school is an indication that summer is here!!

My eldest daughter winning the egg and spoon race!

My youngest not winning the sack race! (on the left)

And this poor girl who just couldn't master the art of the sack race at all. She didn't get far and eventually just sat down in despair and cried until a teacher came over to her!

These two will remind me of a day out in Richmond Park this Summer.

Sun, waves, ice cream and pasta - all in a day's life for the young (at heart too).

Thank you, I used a 75-300mm lens from quite a distance and it was a chance shot. It reminds me of a Cadbury's Flake advert.

Gina, I like your second shoot very much too. It's is in the same category as Jennifer's shot which I featured as a POTD last month.
