Can you fix this?

Taken at the Fire Valley State Park at sun down, the light was not ideal at all. Can you resurrect this?

By the way, the version you see is my feeble attempt, not helped by IE not being colour managed (it looks slightly better in Photoshop).

I wonder if this will catch Ben's eye?

Hi Pops,

The crop is a bit of a cop-out as it eliminates all the tough sky areas

But I'm quite pleased with the crop anyway.

Hi Ian,
Here is my fix. I used tone masks to adjust the highlights, midtones and shadows separately. Then I went after the saturation. Hope it comes across well. How does it compare to what you saw?

Here is my effort no crop just boosted the sky increased contrast and added a bit of saturation, Oh and darkened the two bottom corners.

Based on the colour swatch of Lamborghini's colour chart

Yellow Giallo Evros 2CT *0055
or
Pearl metallic yellow Giallo Orion Mic 2CT *0056
and
Viper Racing Yellow

Appropriate colour corrections were applied, followed by a levels layer mask to adjust the sky and an overall layer mask (less the cars) to boost contrast a bit.




In answer to the original question "Can you fix this?" :- No BUT:

These two cars are quite interesting when placed next to each other - the Viper is an old-fashioned front engined All-American sports car, while the Lambo is a cutting edge mid-engined European supercar...

I wonder if the shared colour is intentional?
