Tinka mentioned hitting a creative brickwall and I'd replied briefly to say I follow assignments and challenges when that happens to me. So I decided to set a small one here.
Not a competition, no time limits - just an ongoing assignment you can add to any time, a personal challenge to take shots of food. I don't have any links to hand on this PC but I suggest you google for links about food photography, look at photos of food and set a personal challenge to aim to shoot photos of food that make your mouth water.
Fresh and uncooked, in the process of cooking, cooked, everday fare, Cordon Bleu - anything that whets the appetitie. The idea is to aim for new shots and set yourself the challenge of learning more about food photography and post more pix as you progress. No hurry - do it at your own pace - just keep the assignment in your 'mental list' of photo ideas.
I'll start the ball rolling with a shot of one of my favourite foods - the chill cabinet of a kebab shop.

). The little packet, top left, called natto, is actually quite unpleasant if you aren't used to it. It's fermented beans!
