The other day when I was walking around, I took my daughter with me. After a while shooting she asked me to use my camra and try a shoot. I asked why. She told me that our car looks good at that spot where it stays. I couldn't see that way, but kids have a better imagination.



She took that photo and asked me, after showing me the screen: o you see it now? The statue are waving happily and the color contrast between the car and the gate looks in my eyes great."

Turning Red at nightfall

One of the groups I'm in on Flickr are having their April challenge - a picture a day for a month (it also runs in October) - not so daunting as a 365.

Last night I dashed out and got one of the last camellias in the garden, tonight I ventured a little further... about 400 yards. I'm lucky that I live on the edge of a village, and can be out in the countryside within minutes.

The first image is of the lambs near the pond - there's also a badger sett there, although I've never managed to catch them. It's quite near the road, and their tunnelling has caused that side of the road to sink. It's difficult to repair, because the local authority don't want to damage the sett.




The second is looking right across the field, which is called Bufton (the local fields were named after the old British colonies- there's a small housing estate called Manitoba). I went out because I thought at last we might be getting a decent sunset.

I know the owner of this car since 2002. He was so proud of his Volvo. That time back it was newer.

A few years ago my wife and I were visiting Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia and I caught this image of her reflected in a mirror.

I upgraded to the iPhone 11 Pro Max today and have just started familiarizing myself with it. First thing of note is the presence of three lenses. Here's Wide Angle, Standard, and Zoom

Fantastic quality Pat. I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of my camera and video gear and going for an upmarket phone. As you get older you have to down size and it's looking more and more like a good thing to do.

What set up are you using please ?

Hi Garry,
Both photos were hand held mainly because the spiders move fast and jump. I like to use a tripod normally to ensure a decent depth of field but a camera with the 105 Nikon lens and 1.4 tc was used.this time.
