        I didn't have to go far for this: about 300 yards, outside the main office. This is the floral display for this year around Banbury Cross. There are usually 3 hobby horses, to coincide with the Hobby Horse Festival later in the year, but this time they've added a soldier. I note that the road here will be closed on Sunday for Armed Forces Day, so would imagine that it's something to do with the centenary of the end of the First World War.

        Taken with the Canon G12 - I was testing it out to see if it still worked because it hadn't been used for some time. Still find it a most confusing camera and prefer my EOS-M!

        By the way, it must have taken me 15 minutes and multiple shots to get images without cars in them... that's a very busy roundabout.

        And this is it in context: with Banbury Cross behind it, and with the Fine Lady statue off to the right (and two out of three of the firm's Banbury offices behind - I'm in a newer building just out of shot).

                I went for a lunch time stroll in the local park. The flower beds had only recently been planted, so there was a lot of bare earth around the flowers. I decided that was boring, so took it out!
