  • The Animal A-Z photo challenge!

    It's simple! But maybe not easy, all the time...

    Post a photo of an animal (vertebrate or invertebrate, but it has to be an animal or of an animal likeness), with the alphabetic name of said animal following from the previously posted animal imge

    Here's your starter:



    A - is for Amano Shrimp, a freshwater shrimp discovered in the 1980s by Takashi Amano, in Japan. It's found in other semi-tropical islands in South East Asia and is a favourite in freshwater aquaria. Although a freshwater shrimp, Amanos require brackish water to reproduce.

    This example was snapped in my tank 7 years ago; how time flies!

        D is for Danios:



        An orange-finned Kyathit Danio and a Zebra Danio have a close shave!

          E is for eagle, a Sea Eagle in this case.

                        H is for Horse - no, not a sea horse , these are a couple of frolicky Lipizzan greys snapped at the stables of the Spanish Riding School, Vienna, Austria.
