I was not wrong when I said this was not going to be an easy one to judge. A big well done to all of you for entering some really cracking images.

OK I’ll start in the order they were posted.

Patmoore’s Balloon touching down on the stream. Fantastic colour enhanced buy the evening sun light. Love the reflections in this shot.

Bike wheels is a great shot and I congratulate Pat for spotting this creative shot.

Blue Ceiling. How many times have I told people to look up or miss shots? Well done for seeing this one.

Pennytrick Bradrona. Made me think of my dad who often said when doing the football pools, “Just need 8 draws in a line” he would have laughed at this image.

Garry I just love the way the front tire is flexing under the strain in this shot. Nice capture.

Boat and Buoy. Oh to go fishing again. Nice lighting in this shot.

Seen this Broad Bodied Chaser before but still amazed at the detail you captured.

Barr1e has captured this Bronze perfectly. Did spent some time studying this striking image.

Pennytrick Boys, I’m sure Pat has used this image previously.

Caz, as I was riding to Banbury Cross. Lovely night scene.

Burlesque Very well captured under what looks to be a difficult lighting situation.

Bikers. That Guy looks like my brother-in-law. Shame its cropped so tight.

Pannytrick Baobab Tree, or tree of life, Had to look in every corner of this shot looking for some wide-life. A very good shot of a very interesting tree. Well worth Googling for an interesting read. Beautiful light and shadows.

Gez. I admire anyone that takes this type of shot. One which I would never of dreamed of taking. Very artistic use of the camera.

Andym. Do you collect these on your travels or is this just you weekend stock? Has made an interesting image.

Birds, Had difficulty judging this one. Couldn’t get my eyes to stay focused on the pigeons.

Buses. Is this the Green Line bus I used to see back in the 50-60’s? Nice close up shot.

Barr1e. This little item is responsible for more photos stored away in a suitcase (like mine) than any other camera. Wish I still had one. Sepia tone adds to this image. Like it a lot.

Always wanted to visit this place Holkham Beach. Household cavalry use this beach every year to ride their horses. Was this the reason for your visit? Stunning lighting and colours.

Gez Barbary Apes. They say leave the best to last and I’m not Aping around when I give first place in this salon to you for this beautiful shot. Perfect detail and a pleasure to view.

Second to Garry for the Bentley and third to Patmore for the Balloons.

So sorry if this has been a long review. Over to you Gez.

A great summary Ron on all the entries and thanks for your comments on mine.

After such a herculean task I think you need a wee dram with breakfast.

        Congratulations Gez.

Thank you for the very in depth write up, Ron.

We used to comment like this in salons, in another forum if you remember.

I think we should see more like this if possible.

Well done all, and well done Gez. A worthy win.

Garry DP Now salons used to get decent reviews when Stephen was running this forum. We also had great discussions in the now unused critique section of this forum. Seems there is a lack of interest we will never regain.
