  • Spot the Difference

As we havn't had many of these, just a little something to test your observational skills...

While you could put the two side by side and do "flash Comparison" to show up all TEN Differences - Try to resist the urge to take the easy way...

    I'll post the "differences" later:

This is really tough - I can only see two differences!

I see three but I'm not sure the third was intentional as it's just a slight difference in the lighting.

All very intentional (such as the missing yellow buoy). However I have noticed that when scrolling on my laptop the images do exhibit the slight differences that you describe, but I have not done anything like that.

On a sister site to this one, they are doing better, but I wouldn't be surprised if they havn't been using "blink comparitor" techniques.

Most differences are VERY small, but that's the idea.

              Have fun

                Re: Spot the Difference

If you have a 'cheaper' LCD monitor there will be a vertical (and to a lesser extent lateral) displacement in brightness. This was never a problem with CRTs!

So if you scroll an image up the screen you may find that it becomes brighter.

This problem is virtually fixed if you use an IPS panel monitor.

                  Graham,

Only found five differences despite intensive searching.

Yay I got two more (vehicle on the bride and the pole thingy on top of the tower).

Others are the yellow thing in the water (a buoy) and one of the guns gone from the deck.

I got four but, thanks to Pol, I see the vehicle on the bridge now, too... so that'll be 5. The fifth one being one of the hanging-down support things (whatever they're called) to the right of the three red lights.

Oh, just seen number six as I post this. Looks like a small black figure has moved on the side of the ship - just to the left of the middle of the photo.

I see the figure but it hasn't been moved on my monitor

On mine, it looks like he's on the right of the little red square in the top picture, but to the left of it in the bottom picture.

Looking at the photo with fresh eyes, I see another difference - in the rightmost tower of the bridge (the three single windows have been replaced by a duplicate of the windows from the level below).

                          That makes 7.

Just seen number 8. Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, that white bird is flying lower in the first photo than it is in the second.
