Here is another fun challenge you can join in with - a thread containing photos you took on the same day. I was in London's West End today with a Pentax K-30 (and standard 18-55 kit lens) and here is a selection of my shots:

That's a good idea Ian, but I will start off by cheating as I took these yesterday! We got a joint membership of the National Trust for a present so we went to Calke Abbey in South Derbyshire. Taken with a Nikon D700 with 28-200mm f3.5-f5.6 AF-G Nikkor lens.

Thanks Ian, great shots of London. I particularly like the tube shot, I was a postman in the west end back in the 1957 until 1960 and then went to mount pleasant do you have any shots of park lane Manchester square or leas place just of Grosvenor square? I have happy memories of some of the famous people that I met and delivered to at that time I was living at Wimbledon then regards John.

No where exotic or anything special, just my daily walk around the valley. But this thread did make me take a camera with my today, something I have not done for a few weeks.

Taken today, 9/13 at Parkville, Missouri in a slight rain. This creek has about 150 yards where it dumps into the Missouri River.

This is a shot from yesterday evening, resulting from the previous 'my favourite lens' thread. It's a small, close crop, about 1/5 of the frame, handheld shot at 123mm, ISO 640.

I really like that lens, Pentax 50-135mm F2.8

Thanks. I could, in fact I do, spend a lot of time watching and enjoying their antics

That's a metal double feeding pole he's sitting on actually. The fling themselves from fences, shrubs and nearby trees or scuttle up and down the centre pole no bother. I envy their agility!
