  • Post your panos here (warning - horizontal scrolling) II

Thought I'd resurrect this thread as I had one to share - the last one appears to have been decimated during the site crash.

My last "where is it" was of a small reflective dome in Nancy taken at night just to make it doubly difficult (sorry about that - not!).

This is the square itself - Place Stanislas - taken earlier in the evening, just as it started to rain. I've uploaded this twice - the second image larger than the first, but it's still appearing as very small even in the "larger" size, so no horizontal scrolling for me as I have a widescreen monitor.

This is a 16-image shot of the square, stitched with Autostich and then edited in Photoshop to try and remove ghosted figures due to the fact that they were running through the Square as it had just started to rain heavily. Some people are in it twice, some are in 3 times. One lady was ghosted in front of the stores to the right of the statue, so I've had to clone as much of her out as I could and then copy and paste one of the store windows to hide the rest of her.

Nice piece of work Caz which shows the enormous size of the square.

I remember seeing Ian's before - great night shot and excellent city pano.

Roger's I hadn't seen - I have been to Camaret, although a long time ago. I remember the church but not the tower. Any ideas what that was used for? I particularly liked the boatman in the bottom right of the picture. It's a really timeless image.

Here's my next one - in the Place Stanislas in Nancy again, but this time only 8 images, of the Hotel de Ville. We didn't get time to go back the next dear (heading north and west), so didn't see much of the city. Having spent a night in a Premiere Classe on an industrial estate at the edge of town, we just wanted to get out!

Unfortunately I haven't managed to remove all of the distortion, although I have played with lens corrections quite a bit.
