Sorry for the slow reply, computers been broken all week.

This image is of the lock function which this item has. It is old, not vintage, but becoming collectable.

I know, that wasnt much of a clue really ... but might have caught someones eye who recognised it.
Heres a slightly more revealing picture, this is actually the side and not the top, and is also photography related.

It's the locking system on an old camera (probably bellows) that allows for "B" ulb exposures.
