      Better offer a clue...
The porticos are said to have been designed by Inigo Jones! And if you thought it wasn't exactly House Beautiful you'd be surprisingly wrong :-)

        No guesses?
A little Googleing will yield the answer...

I googled... and then I googled again.

          Houghton House?

Correct, and as Professor Wiki will tell you - "It is said that the house was the model for House Beautiful in John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress".

              Over to you...
Thanks to Dr Google - I don't think I've got anything recent I can put up, so will try and find something over the weekend.

Sorry for the slight delay - I did take one for this yesterday afternoon, but didn't get time to download/upload until now.

                One of my favourite buildings:

                    Hi Caz
Think I have managed it without a clue
After researching ASK resturants (must get out more) I believe it is the Guild Hall in Northampton.
It is indeed a lovely building.

                    Regards Martin

Oh Martin... I suppose it's no different to me googling after DrMark's clues

I'd cloned out the name of the road and the hairdressers, just didn't think to do the ASK sign!

Yes, it is Northampton Guildhall. Fantastic Victorian gothic, and beautiful inside too - well worth a visit on Open Heritage days. There's a lovely William Morris stained glass window on the stairs, and the Great Hall is just so over the top it's amazing:

It's actually 3 buildings (only 2 shown here - the original and the extension to the left of shot) and there is a tasteful modern extension to the right.

Sorry Caz I suppose its a bit sneaky using Google so soon. Funnily enough my daughter in law Grandparents live in Northampton, they are often down there but I've never been.

Heres the next one then, I wonder if it will be more difficult than my recent offerings.

The background (and the recycling bins) make me think it may be in Spain or one of the Baleric islands?

I've just realised that I've seen this before, I drove past it last year while on holiday in Menorca! It's on the outskirts of Ciutadella on a roundabout on the ME1 road just past a BP petrol station. If I am correct, you did well to miss out most of the buildings when you took the photo.

                            Geoff.

Spot on Geoff. Well done. I think I walked round the roundabout a few times looking for the best angle.

Here it is again with some of the clutter.

Thanks Martin, the prancing horse relates to the festival of St Joan in Ciutadella where horses are ridden through the streets, the riders get the horses to rear on on their back legs then the crowds try to touch the horses belly. I don't know why but they all seem to enjoy it!

I'm struggling to find something suitable for the next entry so this one will have to do. Where is this?
