  • Down in the woods

We went for a walk locally this Boxing Day, and I took the E-P1. The light was spot on, the sun low in the sky and as we were walking through a wooded area, mainly pine trees, the sun cast shadows and warm rays of light across the fast thawing snow........beautiful.

The thing is, its often difficult to capture with the camera what your eyes are seeing, under and over exposure has to be applied and then when back at the computer, a bit of extra treatment must be applied. Here are a few taken today. All processed in Lightroom2

Lovely set of moody pics. I particularly like the 3rd one with the sun marking out an inviting lighted pathway

Lovely set Stephen, I like the 3rd image best because of the light and colours, did you apply a filter in LR?. Very nice job on these

Thanks Gina, yes the third image had a preset in LR applied. If you're interested there are free presets available from Matt Kloskowskis site Lightroom Killer Tips

Thanks a lot, I'll give them a try but also love making my own too x In fact, one of the things on my TO DO list for 2010 is to find some woods and do a set there so watch out for them.

I am now shooting in RAW and using manual settings as much as possible but still have lots to learn.

Gina IMHO your work has shown the greatest improvement of anyone on this forum in the last 12 months

                Stephen,

That's a lovely thing to say, I appreciate it so much from you, Audrey and everyone that has acknowledged my work over the past year. I still have the passion and fire in my belly and I am very grateful to you all for the support. I am hoping for bigger and better things in 2010 and my friends at DPN will all get to hear about it first x

                Thanks again,

                Lots of love

                  Hi

Number 3 for me as well. The colour tone really got my attention in a really good set.

                  Best Regards

                  Josh
