  • Robin

    Everyone knows the robin.
This one is becoming a firm friend and greets me every morning.
I would like to think it is the same one I befriended as a youngster but can't be sure.

      Re: Robin

A lovely shot of a lovely looking bird. But don't let its cute look make you forget that robins are very feisty and territorial

Our resident robin regularly sees off pigeons, starlings and doves, many times larger than itself, not to mention all the smaller birds, like sparrows and tits.

I haven't had an opportunity to snap our one yet, but he's on my to-do list

        Strange behaviour indeed.
Robins are very territorial but I have only witnessed this aggressiveness towards other robins. I have a pair visiting several times a day and keeping my fingers crossed that they will stay right through to spring.
