Tips/advice/suggestions
for photographing a white dog in the snow...

You have done very well, lots of detail in the dog's coat, it would be so easy to lose that.

I think your best answer will be to explore HDR (high dynamic range) software which blends various exposure levels. Ideally you should have multiple exposures but it is possible to do something with a single exposure. Would you like me to try it on one of your images?

There are many HDR programs available, try a search. Some are free or available as a trial.

Looks like a 'white balance' problem to me. The same result I would get with my Canon using 'auto' instead of 'cloudy' or 'shade' to warm the image,
in overcast light, as it looks as though you had.

Personally, I would try hazy sunlight for this sort of thing.

I just had a quick play with one of the images using levels and then desaturated the blues. Still has a bit of a colour cast though but easy to remove.

Multiple exposures would be virtually impossible. When outside she is never still long enough.
By all means have a go with any of them.

I'm glad it's OK, no doubt it could be improved with more work. For those not familiar with the system you make two copies of the original, one with 1 or 2 stop underexposure and one with a matching overexposure. This is very easy in Lightroom. All three images are then imported into the HDR program (I use Photomatix but there are plenty of others). Photomatix has a bewildering number of options and controls, I generally start with a simple automatic HDR generation as here.

HDR all too often produces strange exaggerated effects but used in moderation can be a useful tool.
