  • Clumber Park, today

We went for a walk in Clumber this afternoon just as the sun was dropping even though it was only 3.30pm.

Thought I would show you, but I am disappointed as it lacks the colours I see on my screen.

Perhaps I need reminding about the Firefox addons for photography in case they are not correct.

Feel free to comment, even though I have not put it in the critique section. I'm not up to that atm.

It's been snowing a bit, so I hope by tomorrow there will be a few more pics.

I'm not sure about the name of this walk (there must be one) but the conservatory that you see houses many tropical plants and has been restored.

Hi. Love the light on the house. really stands out. For interest what focal length were you using. I would be interested to see if a zoomed in image compresses the perspective to give a "better" picture.

    Best regards

      Thanks Josh.

I often try to photograph this scene and the conservatory at the end is usually burnt out with no detail, so this time I used spot metering and was able to get some detail.

I think I did zoom in a bit, I can't tell from the EXIF, but I'm sure you can. I'm not very technical and I don't have a DSLR but I do have manual settings which I do know how to use.

I am attaching a screengrab so you can see the others taken at the same time and the EXIF.

You retained a lot of detail in the tree's and considering that dense canopy they have created I think its a great shot. I expect the path and the lower left section could be bought out a bit.
