  • Some from my recent trekks

All taken by Panasonic LX2, hand held.

    somewhere I came across

at a tiny pond. Already darker and used a high iso but quite a slow shutter speed. hopefully no camera blur. A few days later, I revisited here early in the morning but due to stronger wind, the pond was not that calm regrettably.

    These are very pleasing pix.

They have an air of warmth about them.

Thanks for sharing your treks with us.

many thanks for your comments, Barr1e. Photographing while trekking is one of my joy.
My trekking is however not that tough/adventurous one. So I can pay more attention to taking pictures.

Gorgeous pictures, Yoshi. I see that you are traveling light these days
I haven't seen any fall colors around here, we are just to far south.

Hi Bob, yes, travelling light is also nice. Especially so, when you have to anticipate to walk a bit longer at places you go for the first time. I just leave heavier gears behind in my car.

Amazing colours Yoshi, are they straight out of the camera?

              HI Yoshi,
I call my little camera (an FX500) my memo camera and while it has limitations, it also is capable of capturing impressively. A friend of mine was climbing a famous mountain in Africa and his Canon 5d got wet and quit, about half way up. He reverted to his LX-1 and captured some good shots. Later his Canon dried out and went back to working.
Memo camera for me....scout camera for you

Hi ekkl, thank you for viewing.
For some i added contrast, brightness but only slightly.
Some others are straight out of the camera, except for the cases I used cropping.

The season itself is colourful here in the mountain areas.
