I'd agree with Mike but essentially 3 nice pictures here Josh. The farm scene does seem to benefit from the B/W treatment, though I feel the doorway gives the impression the picture is leaning. I wonder though why you did the second shot in B/W. Cotswold stone has a wonderful colour and glow in sunlight which there is here so I find your decision puzzling, nice composition though. The Church scene does benefit from being left in colour IMO. Thanks for sharing Josh

I was just thinking, have you thought about warm toning some of your mono shots?

Hi. Thanks for the comments all. Ian, warm toning is a great idea. Post shot creativity is something I do struggle with.

Stephen, I chose b&w because I like the tones in the clouds and the pattern of shadow and light on the bridge. I do have the colour raw and will have a look later. (sat in costa with a large latte and a cheeky muffin at the moment). Re the leaning door I agree. If memory serves the building was leaning but it does make the picture look a bit off.

          Best regards

                thanks.

I have had a play following Ian's suggestion as well. So here are some toned pictures.

                Best regards

                    Re: Cotswolds

Hi Josh, Stephen is right in that Cotswold stone does have a wonderful tone and texture to it and the colour version is very good as it is warm and inviting. I like the B/W one as it makes one feel that like the area it has a timeless feel. Either way both have come up trunphs in the PP department and I would be pleased with both.
