  • A tree tunnel

This is a view down Flaunden Hill in Hertfordshire. For several hundred yards, the lane is completely covered by trees overlapping from both sides of the way, forming a natural tunnel. I often drive down here on my way to Julia's aunt's house and always remind myself that one day I should stop and photograph the scene, and this week I finally did it!

Looks like an unwelcome road for pedestrians

Well, apart from being very beautiful, it's off the beaten track and not that many cars use this lane. I know it as a cross country alternative route. You shouldn't drive fast there as it's only just wide enough for two cars to pass each way.
