  • New Coat Modelled

The closest yet - the robin was approx 1 metre away.
My previous shots of the bird were of a bedraggled specimen in the midst of feeding its young. Now they have flown the nest it seems a fuller, new feathered robin prepares for autumn.

I have an urn where I place a little feed each day for him to come and have a chat with me.

    Both pix E-3 + 70-300

The main feeding area has recently been disrupted by a magpie and obviously is unsettling to my other feathered friends. Without causing harm to the magpie, any suggestions on how to rid him/her from the top perch!!

Nice view of the new coat in the 1st but I love the 2nd shot more.
The magpies can be a right nuisance but they can also be helpful. I have a family of 7 visit daily and they stop for ages. Anytine a squirrel comes into the garden they all surround it and pester at it till it goes away.
