Not really a photo but a combination created from a photograph, so posted it here.
The result of a session of discovering what can be done in PS 7 other than straight photographic editing and conversion.

That's very good Tinka, I suspect you are not quite the novice you claim to be.

        Hi Both,
        Many thanks for your comments.

I would like to point out that I am not only a novice in digital photography, but was/am a complete beginner in all things digital, I started in digital early this year when my aged 35mm camera was replaced by a digital cannon compact as a present, this was then upgraded to a fuji 9500 zoom, again as a present.
I read a great deal and watch videos on digi photography and sit and play a great deal, not always successfully.
My previous photography was confined to Happy snapping and photographing family events useing film, with very occasional forays into my friends wet smelly darkroom and mono printing, " A dismal Failure on my part". although my straight prints were acceptable.

You have used a lot of different tools/commands in this image and you appear to have mastered all of them.
A great finish and well worth the time spent.

              Thank you Pops,
Yes there were a lot of different processes and layers, This image was the only one of a number of end results, all the others were failures for one reason or another, This final image, I feel , was worth all the effort.
              Thank you.

Tinka - you show a great deal of imagination and skill in this work - and I would definitely categorise it as photographic. It's abstract, but it is definitely photographic.
