Just a few doors down we have this...

When I see the chap I'll ask him if I can take a couple of shots , I can set the tripod up then without feeling guilty.

Non round our way yet (thank goodness!) but I am going to go back and visit this place this year to see how much the decorations have grown. They do this every year, and get mixed reactions as they get SO many visitors, it blocks the road up, the residents hate it!

Although I like to see these lights, They can hardly be called beautiful, or even traditional in the true sense of Christmas, Its a very sad fact that the true meaning of Christmas has been lost by many people.

I agree with you Tinka. I was working away on my computer a couple of days ago and after it got dark I noticed the neighbour across the road had switched on their outside Christmas lights.
I think people could at least wait until December.
Even sadder is the easter eggs will be on sale in about 4 weeks time
The commercialisation of Christmas nowadays is a shame.
