  • Butterflies, Moths, Windmills and Seals

Anne and I were in Norfolk again this weekend and had a terrific time with friends. We had some degree of success with the above and I will post some pix of the seals and windmills when I have had time to pp them. Some of the images below needed little done to them as conditions were almost perfect.
I hope my identifications are correct.

    Gatekeeper

    Gatekeeper 2

    Large White

    Peacock

    Red Admiral

    Small Tortoiseshell

    5 Spot Burnet Moth

    5 Spot Burnet 2

Well captured - very difficult subjects but well worth the effort. Excellent series.

Hi Barrie, some interesting images. Really like the colours in the Peacock shot and the first 5-spot Burnet moth shot - the latter being particularly striking with the red/black/purple/green combo. Thanks for posting.

          Thanks both -

A pleasing few days. I was hoping for a few owls and a marsh harrier - next time I hope.

Here's one of the seal pix.

Almost straight out of the E-3 - just lightened a little and cropped.

Anne has posted some seals here:

I love that one of the seals - did you catch the joke they were enjoying by any chance?
