I've already put this shot on our other sites, e-group.uk.net and fourthirds-user.com, but being such a proud Dad and being very pleased with the result (shot at ISO 3200 last night at Elizabeth's annual summer school music gala) I just had to share with you:
Super shot, especially with the high ISO! I wouldnt go anything above 400 with my 350D.
Love those glasses as well, they are so cool!
Ben, I'm sure you can go higher than 400 with your 350D But you will need to do some post processing to manage the noise, but it can be well worth it.
It's funny - Elizabeth has only been wearing specs for a few weeks but it does seem to make her look older, though I personally feel I see the real Lizzie when she hasn't got them on, aaaah!

Lovely photo Ian. I think she looks like her Dad. Of course she wont like that. At that age they think you mean literally not that there are certain features (shape of face) that resemble one parent or another. Yes, cool specs.
I'll echo the rest - a lovely natural portrait. However, I think she looks more like her mum!
There is a family tale that when Elizabeth was about 9 years old we showed her some black and white snaps of Julia at that age, and her response was - when did we take those pictures of her
