Nice Bunnies Pol..........and I was just going to post a Buzzard shot.
I used to have quite a few in the garden but don't see many lately.
Mind you I do regulary see a Stoat and a Weasel but as yet haven't got a shot of either.
Funny you should mention the Buzzards because I almost always think of you and those shots whenever we see the road kill bunnies ... plenty of those around here atm too!
The rabbits weren't in the garden. They were hopping about in a rough area near a large warren by a gravel pit near Dungeness. I was able to 'appear' to get near enough to eye level because they were on the opposite bank of a sort of hollow - so I could stand at roughly the same ground level on my own side of the bank. Mind you, I have sometimes seen them happily eating their way through the lettuces, carrots etc in the gardens and allotments belonging to some of the residents down there.
No weasels or stoats in our own garden either. We only seem to see those scooting across roads in the lanes but never close enough or near enough places where we could stop safely to watch, wait and maybe get some shots.
Do PLEASE go ahead and post yer Buzzard shot! (Nature is what nature is and road kills are infinitely preferable for rabbits than Myxo imho).
Go ahead and post the Buzzard shot. I'd do the same sort of thing if I had the skills, mobility and access and permissions to the appropriate, suitable locations.
It's basically the same principle as feeding mealworms to the Robins and other ground feeders - or roasting a Chook or perhaps grilling a juicy steak on the BBQ for yer dinner.
