  • Badgers again.

These ones aren't great shots, crops from a 50mm as that's all I had handy at the time. I also had to use a high ISO as it was quite late and poor available light.

First one shows the 'panda on the path' as he waddles up towards the food tray. He's gonna be a tad disappointed as he was earlier than usual and we hadn't filled it up yet.

I took this next shot aiming for a decent shot of his tail. I'm always fascinated by their tails as they just hang there apparently not doing much. When they run (and they can run mighty fast) the tail kinda flaps and waves about. I like their tails.

How lovely to have these visit your garden Pol, do post more as and when (doen't matter if they're not POD quality!)

I will. Just keep watching this space.

I've been spending some time trying to work out various possibilities for getting some better shots. I've also spent several hours faffing about during the night watching, hanging out of windows, creeping about outside when the less nervous foxes appear (some are more confident than others)

So far I've only kept the ones you see in my gallery. At this very moment I'm testing out distances and various options hoping for better lighting and focusing.

Wonderful seeing him again Pol and the shots are plenty good enough.

Y'know - I don't think I had realised just how lucky we are. We've had badgers coming and going for years and I never realised it was quite unusual.

He doesn't come every night, though he does turn up quite often. Dunno how many of them there are as I never saw more than one at a time. I have seen a badger and fox happily together though, which I think is quite unusual.

Spotted a very young fox at dawn - very sweet little fella, very cute.
