Dual Control ?

As I was walking around our model boat pond last saturday I was intrigued to see two quite fast sailing boats together chasing each other. They belonged to a lovely old chap (centre person in the photo) who ran them both from one radio control set, the left joystick for one boat and the right one for the other. Is that difficult I asked, no he said putting the radio in my hand, within a few seconds they were going in different directions !, and the set was heading back in his direction. He did however let me take over one of the boats and he controled the other. An enjoyable quarter of an hour or so. I thanked him and headed off to take a picture and by the time I had got to the other side of the pond to take this picture he had someone else interested too

I have never seen this guy running two at the same time but I have seen him sat in car running one from there. I wonder why you were down there? Club maybe?

Hi Pete. The wife was shopping just dropped her off, I was at my favourite haunt, I just like the scenery, took me back a bit playing with the R/C boat though.

When I read it I thought it would have taken you back a few years. That guy is down there most days not just weekends.

Must have good co-ordination but then again....I wonder how long it took him to become so proficient

I was talking to one of the other R/C guys yesterday, apparently the boats in the pic are made by a local guy, and he said they aint cheap. Apparently this chap with the boats is on the pond quite often and is sometimes seen controling them sitting in his car... thats confidence for you!! He must be a bit of a radio buff to have worked out controlling the two boats from one radio set.
