  • Bicycle in Amsterdam

The other day I was converting this photo to B&W with Optik Verve and trying out different options! I selected Colourize & green filter! The effect seemed quite interesting!

    Hi Jocelyn,

Nice view and the greens are rich but perhaps the b&w areas need lightening a wee bit?

      Hi Joceyln

I am quite a fan of selective colouring. I like the idea of this picture, I would agree with Gina and say the B/W needs lightening and also that orange bit on the left should be removed. Im not sure how the Optik Verve package targets certain parts of the picture, as there seems to be some coloring of the boat too.

Yes I agree the B&W would be better toned down, particularly the bridge railing & building in background! The green would also need toning down then as well, as the contrast would be just too saturated! Thanks for your comments everyone! Yes, somehow Optik verve selected other colours elsewhere in photo! I found that quite interesting & wondered if it worked on any colour that was made up of or included green tints! Sure is a quick way of selective colouring, if you could control the selection more!
