Misty water

Been a while since I posted any photos about time I put that right. Never sure about b/w but think this is one of my better ones. I think it sort of suits the mood.

Sorry Peter I don`t think that b/w does it any favours, I really like the colours on that slipway the blues and the rusty bits, lost in black and white. What do others think?

I think you may be right. A few people else where have liked the b/w one but I also prefer the colour one.

Hi Peter,
Between these two versions I think the color carries the lead. What happens in the B&W for me is that the detail in the sky gets washed out. That may be a processing issue and if it can be corrected, the B&W has a lot of potential.

Thanks for the comments. The sky in front of me was not as good as the one behind me but I guess that's the way it goes. This was taken mid afternoon not the best time of day to get great detail out of the sky. I just went out for a drive and saw the water coming over the breakwater and just wanted to see what I could come up with.

Hi Peter,
I fiddled with your color version, converting it to B&W to see if I could do what I was saying. It is a quickie, changes the mood, but I think the sky detail gives better balance. What do you think?

Yes that brings out a lot more detail in the sky. I like the effect.
