    Beautiful colour (on top of everything else which we now routinely expect of you, Pops!).

    Is this courtesy of the warm late in the day winter light? The highlight area on the feeder tube also made me wonder if you used flash. If not, do you ever use flash for your bird photography. I understand some wildlife photographers do.

      It was late afternoon and the sun was just over my left shoulder.

      No I have never used flash for any bird shots and quite frankly never would. If the light gets bad there is always tomorrow. If I use the flash I may never see the same bird again.
