Unusual Chapel

When I first saw this little Chapel, I wondered how anyone would fit in there??. But I realized I was standing in the parking lot of a drive in chapel, just as I took the shot. Another of my fall adventure finds. Lake Lure NC, about 35 miles from my Asheville NC home.

PS. I don't know what the note on the door said, I forgot to read it.

How quaint. It reminds me of some little houses in Madeira. Their roofs are like that.

What a beautiful position and how aptly named with the lake and mountains /hills behind.

I've never heard of a drive in chapel before! I thought maybe it was a facade for the pulpit & preacher gave sermons to people on the lake behind!

I'll have to give the credit to my little Panasonic, and its Leica lens for that Pops. Sometimes I curse it, but then it vindicates itself; and gives me renewed hope.

No post processing was done on this; other than re-sizing, and a little sharpness touch-up afterward. And the possibility, that the late afternoon side lighting brought out the detail so well. It was also a tripod shot, with the nefarious OIS system turned off.
