  • Seasonal (heavy duty file .7 meg)

American Holly, photographed on one of my Fall expeditions. Enhanced slightly, with Photowiz Contrast Master. I apologize for the 3/4 meg file, but that's what its stored at.

Hi Steve, good to see you again!

That's super sharp and the colours are full of depth. How do you find Contrast Master - what's the best type of image to use with it?

          Greetings Ian.

Thanks for the comments all. I find Contrast Master useful on any image, where you want a little more pizazz. Although you have to be careful with it, because any noise in the image also gets more pizazz. Making it not as useful on low light shots, especially if you use a P&S camera.

The sharpening was done, and carried to extreme as usual for me, by Focus Magic. This is probably the best sharpening program, I have ever used. As you may know its not like other forms of sharpening, but is a de-convolution process.
Instead! of being an additive program as other sharpeners are. It removes the process of convolution, caused by converting the analog image from the cameras sensor, to a digital file. In short it attempts to restore the image to that the camera lens sees, before it is further processed.
