  • Meet Brian the snail

I guess I may be a bit sad but meet my new mate Brian. He does not say much and does not mind being in front of the camera or does he.

If I hide behind this leaf he will not know I am here and will go away.

He was going really well there. Alternate profiles then a full frontal before he finally went all shy on us.

Nice storyboard - but he still makes me cringe (sad, I know!)

Pol I am sure he went to sleep at one point either that or he was hiding from the flash.

          Hi Peter -

I think he looks interesting - does he want a pen friend?
          Nice series.

Sorry Barrie but he was always on the move and would not be tied down so I had to let him go, no forwarding address was given. You never know I may meet one of his relatives one day who may know where he has gone.

Well well what a small world - here is a relative of his so I guess I won't be without a friend now. My snail has a friend in tow too.

Two for the price of one. Cool.

                  Re: Meet Brian the snail

Excellent - my personal favourite is Brian looking directly at the camera with a somewhat quizzical expression

I can never get the little so-'n'-sos to pose like that.

Wonderful shots ... I go for the frontal view. So clear and sharp

Haha! Peter, your commentary had us in fits

One picture on its own cannot compare with the series and the story - super

                        Thanks Julia and Pops

Julia this was not taken outside but set up on my Kitchen table. Loads of paper down first then I was able to move the leaf around as needed. The wife just did not believe what I was up to but by now she has just given up.

Pops that photo has gone down well with just about anyone that has seen it.

Thanks Ian. Glad you like the the set. Some times we take it all to seriously I think this set just needed some fun put into it. Do not get me wrong I was trying my hardest with the set up but if I posted just a snail it would have been a bit boring.

Your poor missus must be well fed up with you taking over the place with your props, (best thing to do on a wet weekend) however I think thats cheating you should have chased Brian around the garden like the rest of us normaly do.

Good set of pics there Pete

Yes I think sim gave up on my photo habits a long time ago. Its not cheating as such because I do not break the rules just bend them in my favour not only that but Brian was happy to come in from the cold. I bet he told all his mates about it when he got home safe and sound. Oh and if anybody tells you they are slow do not believe a word. The amount of times I had him spot on focus then he would move you would not believe.
