    Re: Light trails

I saw the title and just went NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO he has beaten me to it.I then looked at the pictures and it is more or less the same I was going to use. I was going the other side that leads up to B&Q with the cars coming up to wards me and the building behind them on the left. Is that a bus that went past in the first on ie the red lights at the top. I know from the spot that you cannot do much about hight but these type of photos always look best from above having said that I do like the first one the best. Looks like you have just the right amount of colour in the sky. Do you have any more.

Sorry Pete, I went down last week but the weather was awful... and so were the pictures. I wanted to get these while there was still light in the sky. The first one was a "bulb setting" exposure as the synch of the lights is very long and I wanted to try to cover all the angles and I couldnt believe my luck when a road vehicle complete with flashing light on top went past. I didnt take many as they were long exposures. By the time I had crossed the road to take picture two the light had gone.

I actually prefer the 2nd shot as being darker, the trails seem more apparant & buildings less distracting!

            It just so happens Pete...

This was actually taken last week, I thought it was getting a bit dark, but from the feed back so far the darker ones are more appealing. It is a shame we cannot get these pics on a tripod and with a bit more height but it is a busy pavement with cyclists going past quiet often (at breakneck speed) so you have to stay clear

Thinking about it Mo why not go on top of the bunker by the bus station. I know it is further away but with a zoom it should work out ok and this would also give you more hight.

Will post them here for sure but you may have a wait. I hope to have a go in a week or two when I have some time off from work.
