        Pewidane -

Very nice series - many thanks.

When I looked at the first one I thought 'two for the price of one'.

Last week, off to catch (17 in all!) Mackerel off Abersoch, North Wales. Julia and Elizabeth waving, Lara (in the orange life preserver more interested in the view ahead!). Jeremy and his kids are also aboard.

This was taken in the Eighties with an old Pentax.

Shot of trawler in Brixham's outer harbour.

Picture of Brixham's inner harbour before a storm.

This was taken with my first ever digital camera a kodak dc3800 which even now with todays standards still think it was a cracking little 2 megapixel.

On honeymoon, thats Ann in the shot even then I felt the bug starting to take hold

                Ian -

Good shot as some in the boat seem to be looking directly at the viewer. Ash has one bigger than yours.

                Gez -

Thanks so much with your flurry of shots. Anne (the wife) tells me she has one taken of the Victory in the 1950's with her Brownie Box!!

                Ash -

                Very nice indeed - Miami?

                    Hi Ash -

It was Anne my wife who came up with Miami.

Imagine a lady who has imagination, charm and never shouts or argues and much more - that is my wife (38 years).
She does look after the purse strings though.

Thought you were going to say you got a snap with your pin hole of Nelson as he lay dying.

I mentioned to Anne that the boats might be in dry dock and she showed me a pic she had taken on a visit to the Isles of Scilly.

                            Here it is.

Here's an old tub, moored at Maldon in Essex.

Now I think this is a ship because a captain once corrected me when I called his ship (the biggest container vessel I'd ever seen) a "nice boat". "You mean nice ship!, ships", he said, "carry boats" Never made that mistake again!

This vessel is carrying a boat, ergo, it's a ship! (I'm not sure that this rule of thumb applies to all vessels though?).
