Well after wasting a few mornings by getting out of bed just after five and driving down for a good sunrise only to find low cloud and no sign of any sun. I think I may have pulled it off. OK so not the best you will ever see and I have a clue where I may have gone wrong with them but its a start.
I so love the colours in the first one, I find it quite calming and soothing
Also like the angle you have taken it.
I would have made the lighthouse more prominent, but the way you have done it is soo right.IMHO

My wife likes it as well. Wants me to print it off so maybe she has forgiven me for waking her up most mornings. I do not have a true wide lens so have to make the best of a bad job so to speak.
Great colours and perspective Peter. Can't help feeling you may have used an ND Grad filter, and it was too low in the holder.
Going on a jolly myself next Thursday to the Pembroke Coast, and hope to get something decent on the Friday morning. The weather is so unreliable atm that its just pot luck though

Spot on. Thats what I knew I had done wrong. but did not work it out till it was to late. Never mind they say "we live and learn" . That's something I will have to keep an eye on in the future. Hope you have fine weather, I am coming to the end of my two weeks off and today is the best day so far
Having said that because its fine I can go out tonight and try some sunsets. So look out.
I like both - although the first initially caught my eye, I prefer the muted soft colours of the second image, perhaps because it might be more true to life?

True the second one is more what we would see in real life. I was of the opinion that some of the stuff we see like water that looks more like smoke was wrong as its not what you would see in real life. Having now used the filters a few times I see how much fun it can be and its funny but you show two people a photo thats the same other then smokey water and nice blue skies and and you will more or less know which one will get the thumbs up.
That one does seem to have gone down well. And as for the holiday it's the last day of my two weeks off tomorrow. I went out tonight with Mowgli to do some sunsets but I will not post any until after he has but we did have fun.
