  • Mersea Island Sunset

    Not the most salubrious of venues is Mersea Island but you can often get good sunsets there and the numerous boats can be interesting depending on the tide. There's a few old boat "skeletons" there too but I've not shot those yet - perhaps next time.

    Anyway, these shots were taken on a recent evening stroll with 'er indoors. Mainly to play around with the Nik filters I've been wittering on about recently. I particularly like the "Duplex" filter effect on the mono(ish) shot. I might have over-cooked that last one though?

    If the third one is overcooked Stuart, keep overcooking `em. I love the colours in this and I think it`s a fab picture

        I like them all, maybe a crop required on the last one though, from bottom up just passed the cuttout of the jetty, apart from that they all look good to me.

          The first shot is my favourite! You've captured that evening light on the side of boats so well!
