  • Show Us Your Sunsets

After the success of the blue skies thread I thought it would be fun to share your sunsets. It is something we all have tucked away (I hope).

    I'll get things rolling.

Here is one from Norfolk which I took last year.

Now I've shown you mine - where's yours please?

    Regards. Barr1e

Here is one of my Venetian favourites, although you can't actually see the sun.

          Re: Show Us Your Sunsets

Here's a couple from my gallery, I've some recent ones I may dig out at home this evening if I remember...I may also re-process the pano, reckon I could improve on it a little now. Bearing in mind that the pano is comprised of 4 shots it was an amazing sky (especially for Essex!) I wish I'd spent another 10 minutes and shot a double row, perhaps even at multiple exposure settings for HDR...

The second shot was taken over my back garden fence - it really did look like that!, perhaps not as amazing (to me) as the first shot but the colours were fantastic. IIRC it didn't last long.

I am most pleased to see such superb sunsets - too many to comment on.

Thanks to all who have so far submitted images.

                      Here is one from Jamaica.

Do you have one/another to post please?

Hi Stuart, no, it was played for!
I was there for a while, snapping the sun going down, when this little fella went across. I guess with wildlife, there is always an element of luck, he could have gone anywhere, but went perfectly across my frame

I was there with a photography freind, and called him over to capture the same moment as well.

                              Re: Show Us Your Sunsets

Hope I'm not too late for this one.... Went out with my camera on Sunday afternoon, but the weather just as I got to Burton Dassett turned very damp - so drove on, the country route, to Birmingham to see a mate in an afternoon gig.

On the way home (on the M40) I could see the sun beginning to set in my rear mirror so belted off a junction early and back up to Burton Dassett - a country park between Banbury and.... Leamington I suppose.

As I got near the top of the hill, pulled over and took this one:

Then up to the top and looked over the edge of the escarpment (I've not picked the one with the M40 running down the right!)
